Naomi Simon (Tu 20-24): A Year of Extraordinary Musical Achievements

Naomi Simon (Tu 20-24) has continued to enjoy incredible opportunities since being crowned BBC Young Chorister of the Year in 2022. Her talent and passion for music have taken her to extraordinary places, and 2024 has been no exception.

On 20th October, Naomi had the honour of singing the National Anthem at her first NFL game, held at Wembley Stadium. She performed to an audience of over 86,000, which she says was 'an amazing experience.' Naomi shared that the highlights of the day included waiting in the Royal Holding Room—typically reserved for members of the Royal Family—and watching the Mascot parachute into the stadium. Witnessing the cheerleaders and the game itself added to the excitement of the occasion.

Just weeks later, on 3rd December, Naomi was the soloist for the Carols from Chelsea service at the Royal Hospital Chapel in Chelsea. This special event raised over £200,000 for the Institute of Cancer Research. Naomi’s personal highlights included performing “O Holy Night” as a soloist, accompanied by the magnificent Chapel Choir under the direction of Musical Director Will Vann. Naomi also sang the first verse of “Once in Royal David’s City” by candlelight—a truly magical experience. The evening concluded with a Champagne celebration, where Naomi enjoyed delicious canapés and enjoyed sharing inspiring conversations with the guests.

Congratulations, Naomi! We are excited to follow your continued journey and celebrate your successes.
